Becoming a chiropractor was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Not only has chiropractic helped me physically, it has also helped me spiritually. By being a chiropractor I have learned that we were born with an "inner intelligence" that keeps us healthy as long as there are no interferences.
I am in constant search for the newest, safest and most effective chiropractic techniques so that my patients have a pleasant and rewarding experience with chiropractic.
My professional experiences have taught me to treat each person as an individual. I've learned that loving, serving, and giving 100% to the patient contributes greatly to the healing experience.
My mission in this office is to act as a teacher, healer and health caretaker so that I may be able to bring the health benefits of chiropractics with in the understanding and availability to all.
In addition, I strive to present a program of wellness care for my patients so that they may gain the same benefits of a healthier lifestyle through chiropractic as is gained from preventative dentistry, proper eye care, a nutritious diet and regular exercise. My goal is to add more life to your living.
Finally, my mission is to make every effort to do whatever is necessary so that everyone we come into contact with has the opportunity to have their spines checked and cared for so they can experience the benefits of chiropractic care.
I commit myself to this mission that all my patients join me in being health care guardians for those you love and care for in your life.
I suffered a severe back injury in the summer just before entering college at Western Michigan University. While picking up a lawnmower out of a truck, I heard a “snap” in my back. Being from a medical family, my parents took me to our Family Doctor who prescribed muscle relaxers and pain killers. I could remember my first year at Western walking around in a daze due to the medication. My pain was reduced with medication but I felt like my legs were heavy and my back just didn’t feel right.
After suffering throughout my freshman year, a friend referred me to a Chiropractor. After 2 months of chiropractic care, I was back to feeling like myself again. As an added bonus, my lifelong struggle with Headaches was cured with the chiropractic care. I was so happy with the results, I decided to go to chiropractic school instead of medical school. Upon graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1980, I worked with other chiropractors for 3 years (including the chiropractor that helped me with my back and headaches issues) before opening Corbett Chiropractic in Rochester Hills in 1983. Since that time I have dedicated my life to helping people be healthier and happier without having to take drugs or resort to having surgeries.
